Candification

Candification is an immersive 3D project focusing on plot-driven exploration with simple puzzles to guide the narrative. Our team set out to create a single-player adventure game that takes players into a fantastical world in an obsolescent castle, constructed entirely of candies and sweets, with dark secrets concealed by its appealing facade. Players will take on the role of a former castle guard who first awakens from a centuries-long spell, driven by a sense of curiosity to uncover the mystery behind the castle’s transformation. 

As they explore the castle, they collect journal pieces to help them piece together the missing memory, rediscover their identity, and explore the possibility of revitalising the other inhabitants. The game’s core concept juxtaposes the nature of humanity with an enchanting, fairy-tale-inspired visual appearance. Players will interact with their surrounding furniture and objects to collect hints and props, enhancing the immersive experience. 

The plot reveals various perspectives through characters of different roles, origins and connections, aiming to captivate players through the hidden moral challenges they will encounter while uncovering the castle. Unlike many other immersive games on the market where the visual theme usually compliments the narrative style, Candification will bring more interesting surprises with unexpected plot twists
